Lilly Oncology on Canvas, Contest Entry with 100 word narrative. "My conquest of cancer came when I changed my outlook on the fatal structures and re-framed them as something beautiful. Even though it took my dad’s life, I decided to replace the feeling of helplessness by empowering myself to embrace the enemy. My research gave rise to painting colorful cancer cells that look like effervescent galaxies. The therapeutic process was significant in altering my perception of cancer. It led my grief from fear and pain, to healing, to a bright message of hope and triumph."
